PNPACAT 2023 Requirements, Schedule, and Filing Procedures
The Philippine National Police Academy (PNPA) is a top institution that trains future leaders for the PNP, BJMP, and BFP. Established by Presidential Decree 1184, Section 19, it focuses on educating members of these three services under the Department of Interior and Local Government.
Cadets who join the PNPA go through a 4-year government-funded program. During this time, they receive a monthly stipend for their expenses. Upon completing the program, cadets earn a Bachelor of Science in Public Safety (BSPS) degree. Graduates are then automatically appointed as Police Lieutenants in the PNP, Jail Inspectors in the BJMP, or Fire Inspectors in the BFP.

FAQ
What is the passing rate for Pnpacat?
The passing rate for the PNPACAT may vary from year to year, and the exact figures are not readily available. The number of successful applicants largely depends on the performance of the test-takers and the specific requirements set by the Philippine National Police Academy (PNPA) for that particular year. It is important to note that passing the PNPACAT is just the first step in the selection process, as applicants also need to meet other qualifications and undergo further assessments, including physical, medical, and psychological evaluations. To improve your chances of success, it is crucial to prepare thoroughly for the PNPACAT by studying the relevant materials and practicing with sample questions and reviewers.
Do PNPA cadets get paid?
Yes, PNPA cadets receive monthly pay and allowances during their time at the Philippine National Police Academy. These stipends help cover their training and education expenses, including food, clothing, and other necessities. The financial support is part of the government-sponsored Cadetship Program, which aims to provide cadets with the resources they need while they complete their four-year Bachelor of Science in Public Safety (BSPS) degree. Upon graduation, they will be appointed as officers in the Philippine National Police (PNP), Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP), or Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP), and receive regular salaries and benefits according to their rank and position.
